Requirements:
BA degree preferable
Proficiency with Excel. Ability to do formulas and Pivot tables (preferable)
SAP
Min of 5 years of previous fabric production experience.
Job Description:
The Manager, Fabric, Production is responsible for managing all day to day production issues including bookings of select fabrics for multiple divisions including price, factory and men’s categories for finished goods. The Manager will handle the reservation buys for both European and Asian mills by working directly with suppliers and cross functional partners to execute quality assurance and on time delivery.
You must have experience placing all production orders for European mills and manage all follow up.
Negotiate price, delivery, terms and conditions of bulk fabric orders with raw material suppliers and document all confirmations.
Update final fabric pricing in Flex PLM system and SAP. Negotiate exchange rates with European Mills.
Work closely with Asia counterparts to handle all excess inventory and act as the NY based point person.
Support global price change/supplier change notices and update process.
Act as a initial contact for all fabric and quality issues as they arise and as it relates to production. Work in conjunction with counterparts to investigate issues and resolve any issues.
